If your new to exercise, it can be difficult to get motivated. Let me start by saying ANY physical activity is a step in the right direction. I would say the basic recommendation is 4 days a week for a minimum of 30 minutes. Outside of your designated workout time, try adding in a few more steps throughout your day. Whether that means parking at the back of the parking lot at the grocery store, taking your dog for a short walk, walking to your local coffee shop, or visiting a park on your lunch break. I promise you, these little changes will make a big difference in your long term well being. Many of us are stagnant all day long, sitting at desks and staring a computer screens (myself included). Every couple hours, I like to get up from my desk, and do some basic stretching.
